Senior Product Manager

Verana Networks is seeking a Senior Product Manager with 7+ years of relevant cellular industry experience to join the team. Verana is a young company focused on developing and delivering innovative 5G Radio Access Network (RAN) solutions to the cellular industry. The Product Manager will be joining a team of seasoned professionals with long and varied RAN experience and will be exposed to a dynamic market and work environment from day one. Responsibilities:
- Shape Verana’s RAN software product strategy, including product definition, feature selection/prioritization, pricing, product lifecycle management, and roadmap development
- Collect requirements and feedback from customers and the marketplace
- Collaborate with engineering teams on feature prioritization, schedules, and tradeoffs
- Perform competitive analyses
- Market products to Verana’s customers
- Participate in industry forums and events
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of relevant industry experience, e.g., software development for cellular networks, with at least 2 years in a customer facing role, preferably as a product manager
- Solid understanding of, and technical/commercial experience with 4G/5G cellular communications
- Working knowledge of Radio Access Network technologies and architectures, including 4G/5G cellular protocol stacks, air interfaces, OAM & element management systems, O-RAN interfaces
- Experienced in software product management, including software architecture, frameworks, platforms, virtualization/container/cloud technologies, support & maintenance, pricing
- Customer/applications/sales engineering experience a plus
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Energetic self-starter with ability to collaborate with, and influence stakeholders in product management, marketing, engineering, quality assurance, finance, operations, and sales teams
- Bachelor’s degree in EE/CS required; graduate degree and/or MBA a plus
