About Us

Verana Networks is building the industry’s first multi-hop self-backhauling 5G Radio Access Network solution for millimeter wave spectrum.

Millimeter wave spectrum is abundant and inexpensive. Countries with more than 25% of the world’s mobile subscribers have made this spectrum available for 5G, and more are expected to do so soon. Yet, this spectrum remains unused because using this spectrum is cost-prohibitive with today’s products and network architecture. At Verana, it is our mission to make wide area 5G deployments in millimeter wave spectrum practical and cost-effective, and unleash its potential.

Verana’s team has a track record of developing and commercializing innovative cellular radio access network products, from the world’s first all-IP macro base stations to plug-and-play small cells for homes and enterprises. Verana was founded in April 2020 and has raised $43M in venture capital in two rounds of financing from investors including Verizon Ventures. Verana is headquartered in Chelmsford, MA (USA) and conducts its R&D in the USA and India.
